Weekly Class Wednesdays Ages 10-14 SPRING 2023

We know your student(s) are already amazingly creative, so we want to help grow in their knowledge of all things art this year!!! 

Your students (ages 10-14) spring semester has been broken down into three, 6-week 'courses' that run January through May. These courses will be themed around different types of art including but not limited to architecture, mixed media, and 3D sculpture! 

Students can expect size of this class will be kept small, however, if registrations get higher, we will add an additional instructor to ensure  one-on-one tutoring and mentoring.

**NEW** Please note: Art Centric Studio encourages a screen free environment. We value your paid time, so we will be asking all students to leave all technology at the check-in desk upon entrance. This will protect their devices from potential damage and allow engaged focus through-out the class. If they need to keep their technology for medical or allergy related purposes, please have them bring a note to the first day of class. Thank you for you help!

Day of the Week: Wednesdays

Time: 1:00-2:30pm

Ages: 10-14yrs

Cost: $100.00 every 6 weeks

Dates/Theme: 

January 11th - February 15th   'Designer Build'

Architecture themed (projects: 'Shape Shack', 'Tight Squeeze', and 'Dream Doghouse')

February 22nd - April 5th   'Mixed Media Creatures'

- collaging animals (projects: 'Grumpy, Texture Puppy', 'Happy Kitty Paper Collage', & 'Sleepy Watercolor (animal of your choice)')

April 12th - May 17th 'A.T.C.' Artist Trading Cards - 

This is one of our favorite ways to create at the studio! It's a wonderful way to get to explore all types of art styles without the pressure of a large, finished project. Think baseball cards, with a creative twist.

Students will be challenged to design 6-8 2.5"x3.5" cards each week. They will be given a box to keep them all in and will be able to decorate it too! They will use watercolor, mixed media, printmaking, collage, drawing, & so much more!

Time management becomes a huge factor in these too! Students discover the value of time and quality of work.
