APR. Tuesdays - Theme: 'Processed Art'

Art Centric Studio is excited to continue to offer our month-to-month after school program for ages 6-10! Each month the students will focus on a design concept in art and create 2-4 projects in that theme.

Each table in the studio will be broken down by grade, and we have a teacher and/or a mentor for each group. In addition to their monthly project(s), your student(s) will also receive a handmade 'art journal' where they'll be working through sketches, ideas, and drawing prompts all month and get to take it home on the last day of each month. 

Ages for this group are 6-10yrs. 

**Please note: The studio has either a Tuesday OR Thursday class each week! Both days will have the same lesson plan and if you happen to miss a day, you are welcome to come and make up your student's time on one of those days. No other additional make-up time will be offered. 

***Absences: In addition to above info, if you know your student will miss a week of his/her art time, we will do our best to send materials for them to create the missed project at home. We do not offer make ups.

**NEW** Please note: Art Centric Studio encourages a screen free environment. We value your paid time, so we will be asking all students to leave all technology at the check-in desk upon entrance. This will protect their devices from potential damage and allow engaged focus through-out the class. If they need to keep their technology for medical or allergy related purposes, please have them bring a note to the first day of class. Thank you for you help!

January Theme: 'Music & Movement' - A celebration of the combination of music and the impact it has on creating! Art History Focus: Roy Lichtenstein & Wassily Kandinsky 

Dates: Tuesdays - 10th, 17th, 24th, & 31st

February Theme: 'Loads of Love' - Projects created in the style of the famous heart artist Jim Dine.

Dates: Tuesdays - 7th, 14th, 21st, & 28th

Thursdays - 2nd, 9th, 16th, & 23rd

March Theme: 'How To Draw: Awesome Animals' - projects creating by learning proportion and details

Dates: Tuesdays - 7th, 14th, 21st, & 28th - (no class on Spring Break week)

Thursdays - 2nd, 9th, 23rd, & 30th - (no class on Spring Break week)

April Theme: 'Processed Art: Herve Tullet' - projects inspired and driven by the power of choice!

Dates: Tuesdays - 4th, 11th, 18th, & 25th

Thursdays - 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th

May Theme: 'Clay in May - clay basics and learning to create a pinch, coil, and slab pot. *$20 price increase due to added supply cost for clay and materials.
