Meet Becky Yohe

Instructor

A native Floridian, Becky and her family moved to Lakeland in the summer of 2014.  Growing up, her mom was a teacher and her father was an artist.  As a young girl, Becky worked and helped her dad in his antique store and stained glass studio (Old South Stained Glass) in the small central Florida town of Eustis.  In college, she studied and majored in Studio Art with an emphasis on ceramics.   Soon after college, Becky got  married and began her career as an ACSI certified art teacher at a private school in south Florida where she had the  privilege of teaching kids grades K-12, and loved it!

Once her first child came along, Becky and her family made the commitment for her to stay home and enjoy being a mom. Over time, she has done commission work, taught private art lessons, and began to teach adult painting classes in the evenings for various well known businesses.

Becky loves art in all its forms and has a growing passion to share it with others. She is excited to encourage creativity at Art Centric Studio and looks forward to seeing you soon!

Meet Sara Feliciano

Instructor

With Puerto Rican flavor running through her veins, Sara and her mom moved to Lakeland in May 2018. Her mother is a retired art teacher and from her side of the family, there are a few other artists that can sing, write, and paint so while Sara was growing up she found a big passion for color, theater, and music. After taking almost every chance that she could find to sing, dance and paint, Sara decided to study the digital side of art and finished her Bachelors in Digital Graphic Design with Computer Animation.

Sara now a day has a big passion for both the new and old school when it comes to art, taking techniques from the computer and applying it to the canvas or paper. Now her focus is on picture book illustrations and graphic design. She is thrilled to know that you are interested in coming to the studio and getting your hands on some paint!

Meet Deanna Hernandez

Instructor

Even though she was born in the great state of New York, she was raised near the beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico. Papers, crayons, and paint would be her go to when she was small where she would make colorful drawings, stories and pretended to be a teacher to her dolls. As a young adult, she studied to be a teacher with a focus in Visual Arts. Her passion for art and people became her job for many years, helping kids of all ages to experience art and get to know their talents.

Now she is working in her new career as an artist and is looking forward to seeing you in the studio to awake the artist that’s inside of you.
